Thirty years of shipping. You always know who is doing the work.
Principal
Jeff builds measurement people can defend, data that ties out, and tools an operations team can run without him.
Fifteen years across logistics, marketing, energy, healthcare and consumer technology. Most recently a senior data scientist at a large social platform, working on privacy infrastructure for machine learning data and on how you measure what is actually in a training corpus. Before that, product analytics leadership at Uber through a marketplace launch and the financial-products group. Before that, CIO and head of AI at a digital-therapeutics startup, machine learning research at CAMH, and the first Blue Camel Consulting.
MSc Computer Science, University of Toronto, with a thesis on privacy-preserving clinical natural language processing and a publication at CLEF 2018. MSc Renewable Energy with distinction, Loughborough. He started in 1996 building transactional websites at IBM Canada, which is why he is hard to impress with a new stack.
The firm
Blue Camel Consulting LLC was formed in New York in August 2025 and began active operations in July 2026. The name is older than the company. Jeff ran the first Blue Camel Consulting in Toronto from 2012 to 2016, doing marketing analytics and early machine learning. Same name, separate era.
The camel comes from a painting by Jeff’s father. Everything on this site that looks like a logo is derived from it.
This is a senior operator, open to collaboration. When an engagement needs more hands than one, we say so before you hire, and we bring in named people you can vet. You always know who is doing the work.
