Privacy Notice

Last updated: 10 August 2026

Blue Camel Consulting LLC is a New York limited liability company: the independent data science and AI consulting practice of Jeff Pinto. This notice explains what personal data the practice handles, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. It is written to be read, not to be survived; if anything here is unclear, email us and we will explain it plainly.

Who we are

The data controller is Blue Camel Consulting LLC. You can reach us at jeff@bluecamelconsulting.com or by post at:

What data we process, and why

There are three narrow contexts in which we handle personal data.

1. Business-contact data, for outreach

To reach professionals who may have a use for what we do, we process business-contact details: a name, a role, an employer, a professional email address, and the public professional profile that goes with them. These details are obtained from public and professional sources, such as company websites, professional networking profiles, conference and directory listings, and public business records. We do not buy consumer data, and we do not process special-category (sensitive) personal data for outreach.

2. Website measurement

This site is a static brochure site. It sets no cookies, runs no advertising, and carries no cross-site trackers, so there is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first, cookieless tool that counts page views in aggregate and does not build a profile of you or follow you across other sites.

3. Client engagement data

When you engage Blue Camel Consulting under a contract, we process the data needed to deliver that work. That processing is governed by the engagement's own contract and data-processing terms, not by this outreach notice, and any corpus we audit stays with you: we work against your data under your terms.

Lawful bases

For recipients in the EU, UK, and EEA, our outreach relies on legitimate interests (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)): the mutual business interest in letting a professional know about a service relevant to their role. We weigh that interest against your rights and keep the contact minimal and role-relevant. Because we do not collect this data from you directly, Article 14 applies: your contact details were obtained from public professional profiles and directories of the kinds listed above. You can object to this processing at any time, and we honour that objection immediately: that is the opt-out.

How long we keep it

Outreach contact data is kept only while it is relevant to a possible engagement, and in no case longer than 24 months from our last meaningful contact, after which it is deleted. If you object or ask us to erase your data, we remove it promptly and do not re-add it from the same source. Client engagement data is retained per the engagement contract and applicable professional and tax obligations.

Your rights

You can ask us to give you access to the data we hold about you, correct it, erase it, restrict or object to its processing, or provide it in a portable form. To exercise any of these, email jeff@bluecamelconsulting.com. There is no cost, and objecting to outreach takes effect immediately. If you are in the EU, UK, or EEA and believe we have handled your data improperly, you also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority, though we would appreciate the chance to put it right first.

What we do not do

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use it for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects. We do not share outreach contact data with third parties for their own marketing.

Changes to this notice

As the practice grows, this notice may change. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
